Visitation will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Marvell Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Cedric “Duke” Lloyd Moore was born April 8, 1960 in Helena, Arkansas to Sadie Mae and J.C. Moore. Cedric confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at The Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Grove, Arkansas. Cedric rededicated his life to Christ several years ago at The Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithful until his master called him home on October 16, 2023 in Dewitt, Arkansas.
Cedric transitioned from earth to glory doing what he loved most, driving his 18-wheeler. Cedric never met a stranger wherever he went. He has driven all over the United States throughout his trucking career. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
On August 5th, 1985 Cedric was united in Holy Matrimony to Lita Robinson. To this union three children were born: Li’Tabrian, Cedriuna, and Newtondrea.
Cedric was proceeded in death by both of his parents; Sadie and J.C. Moore, five siblings; Shelia, Veatric, Sharon, Denichal, Sr., and Lawrence, Sr.
Cedric leaves to cherish his loving memories: four daughters Jermikia (Antwan) Nesby, Li’Tabrian Moore, Cedriuna Moore, Newtondrea Moore, three grandsons; DeWhitt Givens, III, Antonio “Butta Red” Vaughn, Jr., Caison Davis, two granddaughters; Aaliyah Givens, Li’Tabryuna “Pooh Pooh” Moore, one great granddaughter; A’Lahni Vaughn, one sister; Metra Moore, one sister-in law; DeAngela Moore, one uncle; Charlie Smith, Jr., two aunts; Bessie Owens, Earnestine Miles, a Goddaughter; Kela Hill, special friends; Bennie Coleman, Herman Hunter, Donald Ray Williams, and Mark Crocket, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
