Dorothy Johnson was born on November 27, 1956 in Ratio, Arkansas to the late Barney Hardison, Jr. and Mary Hardison.  Dorothy was raised by the late Barney Hardison, Sr. and Robbessie Hardison (grandparents) who welcomed her into their hearts and home as their daughter.  Dorothy had a heart of gold and knew not of any boundaries when it came to cooking.  And now as we bid her farewell, let us reflect on her life, love and legacy that exemplified while on here on earth.  She is precedent in death by her siblings Mittie Craig, Sylvester Hardison, Barney Hardison, III, McKinley Williams, and Christine Joshaway.  As well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She accepted Christ at an early age at True Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend G.G. Brown.  Dorothy will fondly be remembered for her cinnamon rolls, gentle demeanor, and as a loving mother.  On July 3, 2000, she was joined in marriage to William Johnson.  She retired from Helena-West Helena School District after 41 years.
