Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel,126 Panama Road, West Helena AR from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Southland Church of Christ, Lexa Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Mount Shelby Cemetery, Marvell Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Mrs. Miller's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Tanita Angelyn Miller was born August 8,1959 in Sedalia, Missouri to Walter James Miller and Grace Verline Sims-Miller. She was a 1977 graduate of Central High School in West Helena, Arkansas. She studied at Oklahoma State University, where she excelled academically, scoring in the top 20% of all incoming Engineering students in her class. Securing the honor of being on the Dean’s List during her time there. She later continued her studies at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Inspired by her initials, she was affectionately nicknamed “Tammi” and was known by this by family and friends throughout her life.

Tammi grew up in the Church and has been a member of the Noble Church of Christ and then the Alameda Church of Christ in Norman, Oklahoma for over 20 years combined.

Tammi had a gentle, humble spirit that made everyone who crossed her path feel welcomed and accepted. She enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities, and listening to music. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She was also an avid reader who had a thirst for knowledge.

In answer to the Father’s call, Tanita Angelyn Miller, 63, stepped from mortality into eternity on Sunday, July 16,2023 at the Crestpark Nursing Home, Helena, Arkansas. Her mother preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish loving memories her father; Walter (Wonda) J. Miller of West Helena AR, one daughter; Graceylyn Brown of West Helena AR, three grandchildren; Greyson, Davon, Zoe, one stepdaughter; Jessica Fuchs, her longtime friends; Jesse Fuchs, who has been a constant supporter throughout her adult life and Michael Williams, who was with her during her later years, two stepsisters; Sharon Kirkwood, Ashley Kirkwood both of Conway AR, one stepbrother; Clifton Kirkwood, Jr., of Benton AR, and she will also be missed by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.
