Visitation will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 218 Beautiful Zion Lane, Helena Arkansas from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service will promptly be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 218 Beautiful Zion Lane, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena AR. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Birdie Jean Daniel was born on March 24, 1952 in Elaine, Arkansas to the late Sam and Gladys Daniel. She transitioned to her heavenly home February 28, 2023.
Birdie attended Eliza Miller High School in Helena – West Helena Arkansas. She later worked in the Helena -West Helena School District as a cafeteria worker. She dedicated thirty-two years of service until her retirement in 2010. She loved cooking and being around children. She was a very fun and energetic person. She never met a stranger.
Birdie loved the Lord; she confessed a hope in Christ at the Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the early 1970’s under the leadership of the late Reverend J.W. Webb and remained a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor Danny Robinson until her demise.
Birdie was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Gladys Daniel, brothers; Jonathan, Willie C., Theodis, Sam, Arnold, Henry, sisters; Mae Lee, Pearlie Mae, and Katherine.
Birdie leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter; Venita Fonzo of Conway AR, one brother; James Willie Daniel of St. Louis MO, three special nieces; Tonya,Tinia, Keyya, three special friends; Claudia Gilmore, Debra Mills, A. Woody, and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and friends.
