Visitation will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe, and Desha District Center, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Morning Star Cemetery, Elaine Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Sharon Anita Stormer Gordon was born May 21st, 1962 to J.B. Stormer and Louise Marshall in Wabash, Arkansas. She gained her wings September 27th, 2022. Sharon was little in size, but her personality was huge, and she didn’t mind letting you know what was on her mind.

Sharon confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She later joined Morning Star Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. She was a lifelong resident of Elaine, AR and graduated from Elaine High School in 1980. Sharon graduated nursing school, from Phillips Community College in 1985, where she obtained her associated in nursing. She fell in love with retail and became a dedicated worker for Wal-Mart for over 28 years. She enjoyed shopping, doing arts and crafts for family and friends, and traveling. She especially enjoyed her yearly sister’s trip and traveling with her husband and kids.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Freddie B. Gordon, three daughters; Shanta Calhoun of Pine Bluff AR, LaTarrah Slater of Dallas TX, Freddonia (Charlie) Danage of Jacksonville AR, one son; Anthony Slater of Gering NE, mother; Louise Marshall of Elaine AR, father; J.B. (Brenda) Stormer of Bedford Heights OH, brothers; Carnell (Ethel) Stormer of Charleston SC, Calvin (Ronda) Marshall of Little Rock AR, Andrew (Carolyn) Marshall of Waldo AR, Jerald (Drea) Stromer of Tacoma WA, Jason Stormer of Bedford Heights OH, sisters; Marilyn Stormer (Dennis) Edwards of Elaine AR, John Ella Marshall, Doris Marshall, Joyce Marshall, Felisha Marshall all of Pine Bluff AR, Gloria Washington of Houston TX, Kimberly (Jerry) Davis of Bedford OH, four grandchildren who she enjoyed and loved to spoil; Javeri Slater, Taylor Calhoun, Allison Turner, Jordan Slater and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and co-workers who were her extended family.
