Visitation will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Manasseh Christian Fellowship, 855 Airport Road, West Helena Arkansas from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will promptly be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Manasseh Christian Fellowship, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Poplar Grove Community Cemetery, Poplar Grove Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.

Maxie V. Key was born to the late James and Eddie Miller March 5, 1940 in the “Bottoms” near Barton, Arkansas. She departed this earthly life surrounded by her loving family June 1, 2022 at the home of her honorary husband, Aubery and her daughter, Shirley.

Maxie received her formal education within the Marvell School District, Marvell Arkansas. She pursued her cosmetology license and was employed as a beautician for many years. She later went on to work at Hoffinger Industries for 50 years and remained there until her retirement.

Maxie was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Rollion Key for 50 golden years. To this union, they blended a family of six children.

Maxie loved to fish but she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She even assisted her husband with carpentry work in her spare time.

Maxie is preceded in death by her husband; Rollion Key, parents; James and Eddie Miller, siblings; Vetnell, James, Ira, Kenneth, Eddie, children; Melvin, Charlie, grandchildren; Shaquila King, Rick Sims, Nichelle McKnight, Zayden McKnight, Johnny Wilson, Goddaughter; Carolyn “Jo” Brassell and best friend; Martha Bailey Sanders.

Maxie leaves to cherish her memory an honorary husband; Aubrey Garner, III of West Helena, AR children; Shirley Garner of West Helena AR, Rollion Ann Key of Houston TX, Delphena Qasim of West Helena AR, Elendra King of Jacksonville AR, Thomas Key of Kansas City MO, siblings; Lucille Smith of Southland AR, Bennie (Lee) Miller of Denver CO, Johnnie Miller of Poplar Grove AR, Bobby Miller, Sr. of St. Louis MO, a special grandson; Andre (Dominique) Crawford, Jr., special granddaughter; Janice Key, special great grandchildren; Ricky Crawford, Ke’nya Garner, special cousin; Darris Jackson, Godchildren; Marchell (Maxie) Smith, Channon Barrow, Kimberly (DeAundre) Wilson, Helen (Rev. Dr. Nathaniel) Hull, Sr., Levern (Stanley) Sims, Dr. Thomas (Debra) Bailey, Ronnie Thomas, two great friends; Geneva Brewer, Juanita Jackson, thirty-three grandchildren, seventy great grandchildren, and a host of nephew, nieces, cousins, and friends that truly loved her.
