Predle “Predell” Coleman was the youngest child born to Emma Colemon Jenkins and William “Billie” Colemon on Monday, September 22, 1941 in Marvell, Arkansas.
Predle confessed his salvation in Christ at a young age at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, Turner Arkansas. He was a faithful member and served in the ministry as an Usher at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church and he later moved his membership to Branch Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon faithfully until he became ill. He was crowned as a deacon under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Leroy C. Wright, Sr. He took the most pride in being the caretaker of the Branch Cemetery. He spent countless hours working to dusk ensuring the grass and weeds were trimmed, headstones maintained, and dirt was delivered and spreaded.
Predle was united in holy matrimony to his late wife; Helen Robinson, on Tuesday, December 5, 1961 and they were blessed with five wonderful children. Predle later married Ruby Jackson on Monday, October 7, 1996, with children James and Earnest.
Predle was a devoted Christian, loving husband, a caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a true and loyal friend to all who knew him. He loved barbecuing, gardening, fishing, shooting pool, working on cars, and helping his friends on their farms. Predle worked at Douglas and Lomason (D & L), in Marianna, Arkansas until his retirement.
On Monday, March 14, 2022 at 7:44 p.m. Predle transitioned into eternal rest at his home in Marvell, Arkansas.
Predle was preceded in death by his parents; Emma Jenkins and William Colemon, siblings; Johnnie “Lil Buddy” Colemon, Mary Hardiman, Rosie Lee Johnson, Kenny Johnson and Willie Catherine “Willie C” Allen.
Predle leaves to cherish his memories his wife; Ruby Coleman; five children; Melvia (Paige) Clark, William (Mia) Colemon, Rawley Colemon, Selethia (Jarrell) McCall, Johnny (Angela) Coleman, twenty-one grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Do not think of him as gone away, his journey just begun. Life holds so many facets this earth is only one, just think of him as resting from the sorrow and the tears. In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years, think how he must be wishing that he could know today, how nothing, but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. It’s never goodbye just see you later.
