Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 225 Ladino Street, West Helena Arkansas from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will promptly be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 225 Ladino Street, West Helena Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Earnest Lee Page was born October 26, 1936 to Mary Belle Stewart and Elgie Page in Macon, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Mattie Brown, Estella Aaron, and a son; Darrell Hardy.
Earnest accepted Christ at an early age in West Helena, Arkansas.
Earnest later moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a long shoreman at Navy Pier.
While visiting his hometown of West Helena, Arkansas, he met and married Shirley Hardy of Dundee, Mississippi on November 27, 1969. Together they raised four children: Kathy Page, Darrell Hardy, Andre’ Page and Angela Page – Williams.
Earnest was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on the evening of February 3, 2022.
Earnest leaves to mourn his passing a loving wife of 52 years; Shirley Hardy Page, son; Andre’ (Tonya) Page, daughter; Angela (Neal) Page Williams, daughter-in-law; Tracy Shepherd Hardy, sister; Alberta Boatner, nieces; Mary, Samella, Evelyn, Pauline, Marlene, Marva, Neicy, Sonya, Pam, Pearl, Jackie, nephews; Kem, William, Larry, Herman, Ocie, grandchildren; Amber, Kylan, Cheno, Ahya, Oral, Christopher, Lil Darrell, Jocelyn, Jaelan, Landen, a special cousin; Julius McGruder, special friends; Isacc and Mildred Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
