Potondra Amaris Carruth was born February 25, 1979 in Memphis, Tennessee to Gwendolyn Hall. She was the second child of three children. Potondra accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church until she relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas.

Affectionately known as “Panky” to family and friends, she was educated in the Marvell School District – Class of 1998. She was a hard-working and dedicated employee for several companies – including Wal-Mart, Dillard’s and Family Dollar.

Panky was a strong, proud, dedicated mother and grandmother. She shared great joy in spending time with her children and family. Panky was also a fun and loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin to her family. Even when she didn’t feel well, she always remained positive, never complained and kept a smile on her face through it all. Panky was our “shining light” and will truly be missed.

On January 26, 2022 at the age of 42, Panky peacefully gained her wings. She is preceded in death by grandparents; Henry and Cecil Earnestine Carruth, aunts; Carolina Carruth, Annetta T.
