There will not be a visitation. Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 1106 Holly Street, Helena Arkansas at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Joseph Lonzo, affectionately known to family as “Joe T.” was born October 25, 1955 to Bernice and Willie Lonzo.
Joseph was self-preserved and lived life being dedicated to family. He was reserved and mostly stayed to himself. He reminded you of “Uncle Henry” that lived in the back of him. Their motto was you mind your own business and I’ll mind mine. Joseph didn’t speak a lot, but he would test your knowledge when it came to the bible. When he spoke, he said what he meant and meant what he said.
He worked until the job closures began and then a battle with illness led him to being disabled. He loved working in his yard and loved the outdoors. Joseph wasn’t a church go-er, but he was a believer in Jesus Christ and knew the bible. He studied to show his own self approved before God and accepted him as his personal savior.
Joseph married Lourey July 3, 1993.

(Dorothy) Lonzo of Missouri, Sammie (Georgia) Lonzo of West Helena AR, Charles (Delois) Lonzo of Helena AR, Jerry Lonzo of Atlanta GA, sisters; Elizabeth Cockerham of Chicago IL, Lula Winfield of Chicago IL, a special niece; Rita Lonzo.
He had a generation of wealth through his nieces, nephews, cousins and acquaintances. Special friends; Courtney Alexander, Stanley Speed, Marvin Jones, Chuck Burton and Charles Williams.
