Visitation will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Trenton Arkansas. Toney Young, Sr. was born December 20, 1963 to the late Leroy Young and Malinda Brown in Marvell, Arkansas. He departed this earthly life December 29, 2021 at home his surrounded by his loving family.
Toney confessed Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He continued his Christian journey at First Baptist Church of Oneida, Oneida Arkansas.
Toney was a professional painter and a profound farmer. He was thoughtful and precise in all that he did.
Toney hobbies included fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Toney is preceded in death by his father; Leroy Young, mother; Malinda Brown, three brothers; Herman Young, Samuel Young, Charles Young, two sisters; Bertha Johnson and Sallie M. Young.
Toney leaves to cherish his loving memory one son; Toney Young, Jr. of Saginaw MI, two brothers; James (Angela) Boyd of Russellville AR, Willie Brown of WA State, three sisters; Ida Thornton of Saginaw MI, Lue E. Mayo of Marvell AR, Linda Moton of Saginaw MI, one uncle; JT Brown of Southland AR, father figure; Ernest Larry of West Helena AR, a dear friend; Walter Thornton, Sr. of Oneida AR and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
