There will not be a visitation. Funeral Service will held Saturday, July 3, 2021 at P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at St. Peters Cemetery, Ratio Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, temperature checks, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Mr. Marshall's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Mose Marshall, Jr. was born June 6, 1950, in Lambrook, Arkansas to the late Mose Marshall, Sr. and Mildred Lewis-Marshall. He fought a courageous fight and transitioned from this earthly life surrounded by his loving family on June 25, 2021, at the home of his sister, Shirley in South Holland, Illinois.
Mose accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at the Brooks Chapel Baptist Church, Lambrook, Arkansas under the Pastoral ship of Reverend J.W. Webb. While living in San Diego, California, he joined the Bayview Baptist Church. He later moved back to Arkansas where he reunited with Brooks Chapel Church under the Pastoral ship of Reverend Artis James.
Mose, graduated from Elaine Industrial High School, Elaine Arkansas. He furthered his education at San Bernardino Valley College, San Bernardino, California. He later enlisted in the United States Army and completed his military obligation in Germany.
Mose was a hard worker and his work history showed it. Early on, he worked for Griffin Wheel Company, San Bernardino, California for several years. Then he later worked for Union Pacific Railroad for about two years. From there, he went to work for Santa Fe Railroad until his health declined. After living in California for many, many years he moved to Chicago to be with his sisters. He found employment at Country Buffet. He often loved to brag, “he was the greatest chef and taught his sisters everything they knew.”
Affectionately known as “Moe,” he is preceded in death by his parents; Mose and Mildred Marshall, Sr., grandparents; Willie and Bertha Lewis, Reverend Mose and Rosie Marshall, brothers/cousins; Charles Marshall, Bruce Marshall, and sister/cousin; Ceretta Marshall.
Mose leaves to cherish his memories a lifelong partner; Betty Barnett, their three children; Mose Myrian (Jennifer) Marshall of North Carolina, Tamara Marshall, Daunte (Felicia) Clark both of San Bernardino CA, his daughter; Natalia Marshall – Hill of San Bernardino CA, siblings; Helen (Marcellious, “MC”) Brown, of Woodridge IL, Linda (Norman) McCray, Sr. of Elaine AR, Bertha Marshall of Hazel Crest IL, Shirley Ann Robinson of South Holland IL, sisters/cousins; Clara (Don) Martin of Fort Wayne IN, Vernett Davis of South Carolina, Josephine Marshall of Little Rock AR, Terri Marshall of Fort Wayne IN, brothers/cousins; Michael Marshall, Barry Marshall both of Houston TX, God sisters; Mildred Jean (Reverend Darnell) Hill of Jonesboro AR, Helen Grayson, Mary Roy, Pearl Gordon all of Little Rock AR, two aunt; Alma Davis of Helena AR, Mary Marshall of San Bernardino CA, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of many, many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. He will be gravely missed by all who loved him dearly.
