Robert Kitchner Cox left this world suddenly to be with our Lord and Father on Saturday, June 12, 2021 after a short illness. Robert “Rob” was born January 21, 1972 to Dennis Cox and Vera “Sharon” Barker Cox in Tupelo, Mississippi. Affectionately known as “Rob,” he was a complex yet loving, and humorous man, who took to using humor to uplift those around him. It was nothing to see him speeding down the aisles of Walmart with a grocery cart tied to his scooter while wearing bunny ears and listening to his music and visiting with anyone he met. He never met a stranger. Often because of his appearance children would come up to him and ask him if he was Santa Claus and he would put his finger to his lips and quietly say “Shhhhh, I am on vacation.” He loved his loud hawaiian shirts and kilts. Even taking the daring plunge of wearing them to Church just to see what people would say. Although his life’s journey was a twisting road with many different turns, it never took away his ability to show love, kindness, and humor. It was nothing for him to see someone on hard times or eating alone at a restaurant and pay anonymously for their meal. He was difficult to understand but easy to love.

Rob is survived by his present wife; Kathleen Trueblood of West Helena AR, father; Dennis (Sandra Brooks) Cox of Orange Park FL, stepmother; Becky Hildebrand of Jackson MS, brother; Daniel Cox of Jacksonville FL, half sisters; Jennifer Russell, Celeste Reeves both of Interlachen FL, ex-wives; Cassie Davis of Kissee Mills, MO, Sandra Forrest of Dallas TX, eldest son; Mckenzie Cox of Dallas TX, daughters; Liadain Cox, Zoe Cox both of Kissee Mills, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.
