Visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas.
Gwendolyn Kayrene Siders, born April 14, 1956 to the late Juan and Mildred Laureles. She departed this earthly life March 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Affectionately known as “Gwen,” accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was an active member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas.
Gwen united in Holy Matrimony to Gordon in 1996. To this union no children were born. They adopted and raised Quinn together as their own. Quinn being a loving son throughout his life was adopted October 28, 2004.
Gwen loved fishing and being with family. She had a passion to volunteer whether it was the fair, voting polls, Wild Hog Festival, etc. She enjoyed being able to see and talk to people she hadn’t seen in a while. Her favorite place to visit was the beach.
Gwen is preceded in death by her husband; Gordon A. Siders, her parents; Juan and Mildred Laureles, her grandmother; Margret Smith and her sister; Cynthia Laureles.
Gwen is survived by her children; Quinn (Morgan) Siders, Wendy (Mike) Seaton, April (Justin) Nelson; grandchildren; Kayley (Eathon) Seaton, River Seaton, Blake Siders, Katie Siders, siblings; Jenise (Jeff) McGee, Mary Laureles, Rodney (Robin) Laureles and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Quinn and Morgan would have blessed Gwen with her first grandchild this August.
