Visitation will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, temperature checks, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Tevis Deontai Da’Juan Smith was born February 15, 1993 to Angela Louise Eaton and Terry Smith. Tevis departed this earthly life on March 8, 2021.
At an early age he accepted Christ and was baptized at the Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas under the leadership of Rev. Danny Robinson.
Tevis was a graduate of Central High School Class of 2013 in West Helena, Arkansas. He worked various jobs such as: Helena/West Helena Courts, Double Quick, and Helena Country Club.
Tevis was kind and quiet with a loving spirit who always displayed the warmest smile. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. At his immediate family gatherings, he was the DJ. Even though he played his favorite songs first, he made sure everyone else’s requests were heard. Tevis was small in size but had a big heart.
Tevis is preceded in death by his maternal Great Grandparents, paternal Great Grandparents, and his Grandfather, Earl Perry, Sr.
Tevis leaves to cherish is memories his loving mother; Angela Eaton of Helena-West Helena AR, his loving father; Terry Smith of Batesville AR; siblings; Damion Eaton, Malachi Harris, Kaibreona (Terence Daniel) Bridges, Christionna Trice, Tytionna Trice all of Helena-West Helena AR, Chauncey Smith, Dejuwan Smith both of Batesville AR, grandparents; Vivian Eaton of Jonesboro AR, Pearlean Hamilton of Holly Grove AR, Shedrick Smith of Poplar Grove AR, nephews; Noah White, Nolyn White, Dmone’ Eaton all of Helena-West Helena AR, Kelly Smith of Batesville AR, a special cousin; Kadijah Eaton, a close friend; Linda Beckwood and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, and friends.
