Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at C. V. White High School Gymnasium, Lakeview  Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Morning Star Church Cemetery, Elaine Arkansas. Due to our Federal and State COVID-19 guidelines: during the Visitation - we will only allow individuals to view 10 at a time. Funeral Service - Please allow time and patience for COVID-19 entry process to include: mask, hand sanitizer, temperature checks, and sign-in roster with name and phone number. At the Cemetery - we will abide by the social distance standard of 6ft apart.

Jimmie Lee Ross, Jr. was born on October 15, 1987 at Helena Regional Medical Center to Jimmie Lee Ross, Sr. and Peggy Ross. Jimmie was preceded in death by his father; Jimmie Lee Ross, Sr., grandparents; Jacob Ross, Sr. and Maggie M. Ross, one sister; Carol Ross, two aunts and one uncle. 

Jimmie accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age at the Pilgrim Guide Missionary Baptist Church in Modoc, AR under the leadership of the late Reverend James Baker, Sr. He obtained most of his education from Lakeview High School. During his senior year, Lakeview High School closed and he graduated from Elaine High School. He furthered his education at New Tyler Barber School in Little Rock, AR. Jimmie loved playing basketball, shooting pool, cutting hair, and having family gatherings. He was always the center of attention at family gatherings that kept us laughing at all times. He worked on the farm for a while in Helena, AR and at Fred’s Dollar Store in West Helena, AR  until they closed. He was currently a barber until God called him home to rest in peace on Saturday  February 6, 2021. 

Jimmie was a great father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving mother; Peggy Ross (Willie Ed) grandmother; Christine Blakely, step-grandmother; Estella Ross-Davis, four children; Jimmie Lee Ross III, Keshawn Ross both of Elaine, AR, Christian Ross of Marvell, AR, Peyton Ross of West Helena, AR, two brothers; Renard (Mamie) Love of West Helena, AR, Lazeric (Devesha) Ross of Conway, AR, two sisters Bliss (Kacy) Williams of Helena, AR, Patrina Ross of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two special aunts; Barbara Love, Rosetta Crawford, nine uncles, twelve aunts, three nephews, five nieces, and a host of cousins and friends.
