Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. Due to our Federal and State COVID-19 guidelines: Chapel Service - we will admit 50 individuals with the proper wristband, temperature checks, mask and will abide by the social distance standard of 6ft apart between households. Mr. Anderson's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Johnnie Anderson, Jr. affectionately known as (Lil Bro) was born on March 26, 1943 to Johnnie Anderson and Melissa Adams in Hooks Spur below Elaine, AR.

Johnnie received his education from the Lake View School District in Lake View, AR.

He accepted Christ at an early age at the First St. Paul M. B. Church, Old Little Rock Road under the Rev. B. A. Macpipe.

After completing his education, Johnnie moved to Syracuse, New York.  Johnnie had a desire to stay in church and serve the Lord.  Johnnie united with the Southern M. B. Church and he served many positions. His favorite position was the Usher Board and preparing food for many occasions.

Johnnie was employed by Chrysler Motor Company for over 20 years.  After retiring, Johnnie moved back down south to relax and enjoy life.  He never knew a stranger.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his father and mother, Johnnie and Melissa Anderson; his sisters, Carrie Mae Gray, Jennie B. Anderson; brothers, Jimmie Anderson and Robert Lee Anderson.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Gladys Anderson; one son, Theodore of Syracuse, NY; God-son, Sha Quame Hunter of West Memphis, AR; two sisters, Doris Anderson of Toledo, OH and Patricia Smith of Syracuse, NY; four brothers, Henry (Betty) Anderson, James Anderson, both of Syracuse, NY, Wadell (Renia) Anderson and Tommy Lee Anderson, both of West Helena, AR; one granddaughter, Tamera Jones of Syracuse, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
