Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Elaine Arkansas. Due to our Federal and State COVID-19 guidelines: Due to our Federal and State COVID-19 guidelines: during the Visitation - we will only allow individuals to view 10 at a time. Funeral Service - Please allow time and patience for COVID-19 entry process to include: mask, hand sanitizer, temperature checks, and sign-in roster with name and phone number. We will admit 100 individuals with the proper wristband. At the Cemetery - we will abide by the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Deacon Vincent Lenon Wade was born January 28, 1968 to the late Charles and Maxine Wade, Sr. at Cook County Hospital, Chicago Illinois. A few years later the family relocated to Arkansas. Vincent was raised in the Wabash and Lakeview communities. He received his formal education within the Lakeview School District, graduating from C.V. White High School in 1987. After graduation to 1989, he went on to further his education at Coahoma Community College, Coahoma Mississippi.
Vincent confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Lula Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Reverend L.T. Mapp. He later united with Pilgrim Guide Missionary Baptist Church, Modoc Arkansas under the leadership of the late Reverend James Baker, Sr.
For twenty-eight years, Vincent worked for various farms such as: Williamson and A & A Farms. He was a lover of outdoors and its activities. He claimed to be a profound fisherman and a skilled hunter.
On January 7, 2005 Vincent was joined in Holy Matrimony to Cassandra Brown. In 2014, under the leadership of Reverend Cedric D. Pride, Vincent united with Gumwood Missionary Baptist Church, Ratio Arkansas. He completed his training and accepted his calling on February 21, 2016 to be ordained and crowned as a Deacon of Gumwood Missionary Baptist Church; where he remained faithful until he was called from his labor.
Vincent departed this earthly life Sunday, December 27, 20220 at Saint Vincent Medical Center, Little Rock Arkansas.
Vincent is preceded in death by his father; Charles Wade, Sr., grandparents; Joseph and Zelma Wade, Thomas Smith, Annie Gray, and his father-in-law; Thomas Brown, Sr.
Vincent leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted wife; Cassandra Wade of Elaine AR, two special grandchildren; Kyra T. Willis, Marcus McCraney, Jr. both of Elaine AR, children; Ashton Sledge of Conway AR, Viniecia Wade of West Helena AR, Daniella Wade of Mankato MN, LaQuita Brown of Jacksonville FL, Cedric (LeDreeta) McCraney of Killeen TX, Marcus McCraney, Sr. of Conway AR, thirteen grandchildren, mother; Maxine Wade of Lakeview AR, six brothers; Keith (Patricia) Wade of West Helena AR, Charles (Tamara) Wade of Virginia Beach VA, Welton McKinney of Oklahoma City OK, Justin Wade of Hot Springs AR, Shelby Thompson of Buffalo NY, Curtis McKinney of Helena AR, seven sisters; Gwendolyn Wade of Marianna AR, Carla Tillman of Columbus SC, Cora Wade of West Helena AR, Chamunda (Charles) Beal of Moreno Valley CA, Trina Jackson of Lakeview AR, Sandra Baldwin of Dumfries VA, Betty McKinney of Raleigh NC; a mother-in-law; Ruthie Brown of Elaine AR, three sisters-in-law; Donna Kay (Dallas) Smith, LaTunga Brown both of Pine Bluff AR, Beverly (James) Hayes of Jonesboro AR, three brothers-in-law; Thomas Brown, Jr. of Elaine AR, Danny Sanders, Nolan Watson both of Little Rock AR, eleven uncles, twelve aunts and a large host of nephews, nieces, cousins, his Gumwood Church family, very close friends and coworkers.
