Tribute for the Homegoing of Pastor William Gant To this family, to this church, and to everyone gathered to honor this great man of God… I stand today with a full heart. Pastor William Gant was not only a pastor to me—he was an earthly spiritual father. He was an uncle in the ministry. He was a mentor whose wisdom shaped my walk with Christ and whose example strengthened my calling. God used him to steady me, to guide me, and to help form the man I am today. He taught me how to serve with humility. He taught me how to stand with integrity. He taught me how to love God’s people with patience and compassion. And he did all of this with Sister Gant faithfully by his side. Together, they poured into me in ways I will never forget. Pastor Gant lived his life with a quiet strength, a steady faith, and a heart that beat for the Kingdom. He didn’t just preach the Word—he lived it. He didn’t just teach ministry—he embodied it. And every conversation with him left me wiser, stronger, and more grounded in Christ. Today, heaven receives a giant. And earth feels the weight of his absence. But his legacy lives on in every life he touched… including mine. His voice, his counsel, his example—these will remain with me for the rest of my days. To the family: please know that my wife and I are praying for you. We honor you. We love you. And we thank God for the gift He gave us through Pastor Gant. May the Lord comfort you, strengthen you, and carry you through this season with His peace. I will forever honor the life, the ministry, and the memory of Pastor William Gant—my mentor, my spiritual father, and my beloved brother in Christ.
