Visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will follow at Jackson Memorial Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Due to our Federal and State COVID-19 guidelines: during the Visitation - we will only allow individuals to view 10 at a time, at the Graveside Service - we will abide by the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Etta Mary Thompson was granted her angel wings on April 29, 2020 in West Helena, AR at 7:08 a.m. Her final days were spent surrounded by love ones, close family and friends. She touched many people whether big or small but in them all, they will be memorable.

Etta Mary Thompson was born December 13,1942 in West Helena, Arkansas to the late Quincy and Carrie Thompson. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a devoted friend. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Charles and E.W. Thompson.

Her legacy continues through her husband, James Lee Lewis, her children Angela Thompson, Tony Thompson (LaJaun), Charles Thompson, James Lewis Jr. (Fatima), Carl Lewis, Anastasia and Shanisha Murphy, Denise Ruffin, and Shacrises Zigler, her grandchildren Tony D. Thompson, Jonathan A. Thompson, Sr., MaKayla Thompson, Jazzae Bateman, Carl Lewis, Jr., James Bateman. Brooklyn Lewis, Nicholas Shirlee, Jamel and Jamil Lewis, Elijah Moore, Ja’Mori Rayford Stephon Zigler, Anaiyah Horne, Samarion Eaton, and. Amirah Johnson, One great grandson, Jonathan Anthony Thompson,Jr. Her sisters Ruby Lee, Emma Thompson, Vera White, Vernetta Saunders, Brenda Haigler (Alex), and Rae King (pre-deceased Mike). Her brothers, James, Paris, and Alfonzo Thompson with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
