Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Allen Hudson, Sr. was born August 16, 1946 to the late Andrew and Cassie Burns Hudson in Helena, Arkansas. Allen confessed his faith in Christ and was baptized in 2014, before his health began to decline.
December 18, 1966 Allen and Rosie Manuel were united in Holy Matrimony. To this union, eight children were born. Allen and Rosie were married for over 53 years.
Allen departed this earthly life Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Lonoke, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents; Andrew and Cassie Hudson, one sister; Pearlie Brown, four brothers; Eugene Hudson, Jerry Hudson, Henry Hudson and Robert Hudson.
Allen leaves to cherish his memories a wife; Rosie Hudson of Helena AR, nine children; Deloris (Henry) Speed, Bettie Hudson, Mozella (Calvin) Prowell, Allen Hudson, Jr., Sharlin (Nelson) Handley, Pamela (Daryl) Hudson, Geraldine Hudson all of Helena AR, Carolyn Hudson, Tamela Hudson both of Hot Springs AR, two sisters; Geraldine Hudson Barber of Gary IN, Wynosia Donaby of West Helena AR, a special nephew; Eddie Garner of Helena AR, three sisters-in-law; Carrie Ross, Murline Danaby, Jerlene (Elijah) Gilmore all of Helena AR, two brothers-in-law; Willie (Oberia) Manuel, Henry Louis Danaby both of Helena AR, twenty-eight grandchildren, fifty-five great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
