Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena, AR from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Oneida, Arkansas at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow immediately at Oneida Community Cemetery, Oneida Arkansas.
Ruthie Lee Duncan was born November 27, 1958 in Elaine, Arkansas to Wiley and Irene Duncan. Ruthie accepted Christ at an early age. Later, she joined First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jerome Webb. Ruthie attended Lakeview School, Lakeview Arkansas. Ruthie departed this life on January 13, 2019 in Helena, Arkansas.
She leaves to cherish memory her life partner; Willie Charise, two sons; Rodney Huffman of Omaha NE and Reginal Duncan of Little Rock AR, one daughter; Natasha Duncan of Oneida AR, five grandchildren; Rodney, Jr., Emmanuel and Jordan all of Omaha NE, La’Naia and Shumaya of Little Rock AR, her mother; Irene Duncan of Little Rock AR; one brother; Ras Thomas of Little Rock AR; two sisters Mary Ann Thomas-Reed and Mary Alice (Rickey) Valentine-Bone both of Little Rock AR, a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, great great nephews and nieces, her best friend Diane James, and many other friends.
