Visitation will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Paradise #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Lexa AR. Funeral service will promptly start at 11:00 a.m. at Paradise #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Lexa AR. Interment will follow immediately at Paradise #2 Cemetery, Lexa AR.

Curtis Lee Jordan, better known as “Jake”, was born in Lexa, Arkansas on June 2, 1949, to the late Sim and Ernestine Jordan. He was the fifth of their twelve children whom they loved and adored.

Jake confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at a young age at Paradise #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas. He served faithfully under the leadership of the late Reverend Grover Vassar and later Reverend Charles Whittaker at Paradise until his health failed.

Jake attended Anna Strong High School in Marianna, AR. After graduating high school, he worked for Farmers Supply in Aubrey, Arkansas. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and building projects. He enjoyed the outdoors and would often sit under the shade tree with his dog when he could no longer work.

Jake married Ramal Franks on November 4,1970 in Moro, Arkansas to this union four children were born. Later in life he married Jeanette Ivory and together they raised two sons.

Jake was proceeded in death by his sister: Retha Dale Jordan, brothers: Sim Jordan Jr., Alfred Jordan, Samuel Jordan, and Michael Jordan.

Jake leaves to cherish his memory five sons: Curtis Jordan Jr., Keith Jordan, Mac Arthur Franks, Anthony Foreman (LaKetha), and Lawrence Irokameje; two daughters: Debbie Jordan (Lucian) Hyatt and Tuwan Jordan; two brothers: Sherman Jordan and John Wesley Jordan (Barbara); four sisters: Emma Nelson (Arthur), Rosie Staples (Albert), Dolores Willis, and Linda Palmer (David Sr.); a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances. Two special friends: Herm and Jim.
