There will not be a Visitation. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Oak Forest AR at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Oak Forest AR.  We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Mrs. King's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Mamie Ruth King was born October 16, 1945 in Moro, Arkansas to the late Steve Wiggins and Alberta Holt Wiggins.  She was the eighth child of eleven children born to this union.

Mamie Ruth accepted Christ at an early age.  She joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Oak Forest, Arkansas. She loved singing songs just like her brothers Curtis, Joseph, and her sister Barbara.  She had a lovely voice, and she enjoyed going to church. They all were lovers of gospel music.

Mamie loved her family. She was raised by Rosetta Wiggins at a young age. She was a great caregiver to her family and community.

She departed this life early Wednesday morning, September 22, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mamie was preceded in death by seven sisters; Lee Ester Wiggins, Alberta Caffey, Barbara Wafford, Lorene Billups, Irene Edwards, Gertrude Stenhouse, Jurnice Gipson, two brothers; Joseph L. Wiggins, and Curtis L. Wiggins.

Mamie Ruth King leaves to cherish her precious memory, one devoted daughter; Karmensia King of Palestine AR, one sister; Mary Appleby Boone, one brother-in-law; James Wafford, Jr., sister-in-law; Bernice Tolbert Wiggins all of North Little Rock AR, Odessa Tolbert Wiggins of Chicago IL, special friend; Clint Walls of Marianna AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
