Sammie is truly gonna be missed. He is my brother's biological dad. But he was my dad in my heart and his. He never treated us differently. The love was always felt and shown. Even as I became an adult, if I had a problem, all I had to do was call and he would be right there to solve it. He would also help my adult children. He would bring me vegetables or call me and say "Big Baby" come by the house, I got something for you and when I would leave, I had lots of good fresh vegetables. Just know that you deserve this rest. You ARE loved and will surely be missed. I'll always be your big baby. I love me some you.

I met Mr Sammie a few years ago while tearing down an old house on my property. We both had a mutual interest in construction and construction equipment, especially the Kubota backhoe I owned. One day he approached me with the idea of grave digging, and I said, why not, and in the next few years I think we replaced every hyd hose, and rebuilt every hyd cylinder on that Kubota. Mr Sammie was always their to help, and when I would want to quit, he would look at me and say something, and we would go back to work. We talked and shared each other's thought, we became friends, so color was no issue, I trusted him and he trusted me, trust is not given, trust is earned, and in my eye I came to know him as one of the most honest and trustworthy man I have ever known. I will miss my friend, but I know he has a friend in Jesus, with whom he is with, I say goodbye until we see each other again. God bless the family and friends. Daniel.
