Visitation will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Trenton AR from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon. Followed by the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Trenton AR. Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.

Willie Roxie Thurman was born in Poplar Grove, Arkansas on September 3, 1949. Willie was the eldest child on James Tillman “JT” and Ollie Mae Thurman, who precede her in death.
She is also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Pinky Thurmond, maternal grandparents, Albert and Roxie Wilborn, brothers; James Ollie “Melvin” Thurman and Milton C. Thurman, Kimberly V. Harden, her niece, also precedes her in death.
Willie Roxie confessed a hope in Christ at the age of 12, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. J.N. Morris, at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church; she remained active until her health failed her. During her tenure, Willie Roxie played a stellar role in orchestrating Youth for Christ at Pleasant Grove. Willie Roxie served as Class #2 Sunday School Teacher, President of the Willing Workers, and a faithful choir member.
Willie Roxie is a 1967 graduate of M.M. Tate High School. She was married to Orville Jiles from 1976 – 2001. To this union five children were born.
Willie Roxie’s memories will be cherished by her five children, Bryon, Denise both of Little Rock, Nedra, Gregory both of Jonesboro, Orville, Jr. (Tamira) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Khi (Gary), Samantha, Urian, Kendall, Jr., Ka’Lyn, Kayla, Teondre, Destiny, Aymmiah, Tiyonna. Loving sisters; Juanita Robinson and Doris Harden. Her nine (9) great grandchildren will also cherish her memory. She was a loving aunt, “Twiggy” and TT Mama Willie to her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Willie Roxie Thurman – Jiles made her transition on March 3, 2018 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro Arkansas.
