Visitation will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Gill Cemetery, Marvell Arkansas. Due to our Federal and State COVID-19 guidelines: during the Visitation - we will only allow individuals to view 10 at a time, at the Graveside Service - we will abide by the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Lenard Washington was born on March 7, 1935 to Chester Washington and Sarah Washington in Haynes, Arkansas. He confessed a hope in Christ, baptized, and united with Tucker Grove M.B. Church in Marvell, Arkansas.
He departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Crestpark Nursing Home in Helena, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Clinton “Kate” Washington, Darnell “Donnie” Washington, sisters; Virginia Washington, Mattie Washington, Marie Washington, Mary Washington, Lucy Washington, Estella Washington, and Dorothy Washington; one daughter; Annette Stevens; one son; Ralph Seals and two grandchildren; Tyrone Thomas, Jr., and Taruis M. Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memory by those who loved and knew him best, his ex-wife/caregiver; Lucille Seals-Washington, one daughter; Linda Willis; two sons; Stevens Seals, and Dauane Seals; ten grands, eighteen great grands, three great great grands, two great great great grands, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
