There will not be a visitation. Funeral Service will promptly start at 12:00 noon, October 29, 2022 at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, Marvell Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Branch Baptist Cemetery, Holly Grove Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Willie Jackson was born January 5, 1946 to the late Bernice Jackson and Vastire Hanks in the community of Cornell Point, Arkansas. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Eula Jackson.

Willie attended Turner School until the nineth grade. He finished his formal education within the Marvell School District.  He graduated from M. M. Tate High School, Marvell Arkansas in the Class of 1965.

After graduation he moved to various locations. In 1969, he found a more permanent home in Detroit, Michigan. There he met and married Clara Elizabeth Banks in 1970. Their union lasted for thirty-three years.

On October 2, 2022 Willie returned to Marvell, Arkansas to be with his younger brother; Calvin Jackson. He departed this earthly life surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2022.

Willie is preceded in death by his mother; Bernice Jackson, father; Vastire Hanks, grandmother; Eula Jackson, brother; Larry Houston, sister; Elizabeth Ann Hanks, and two brothers-in-law; Predle Coleman, Calvin Green.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his daughters; Erica (Chris) Mason, Brenda Banks, son; Samuel Banks, brothers; Bennie (Annette) Davis, Cornell (Mary) Jackson, Calvin (Devorah) Jackson, Clifton (Mary) Williams, Charles Hanks, sisters; Minnie Bell (Ken) Kelly, Ruby Coleman, Verlene Green, Carolyn Hanks, special grandchildren; Destinee Gooden, Joshua Mason, a special friend of twenty-three years; Linda Thomas, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
